1883Mr. Charles Clarence Hobart builds his first engines and generators in Middletown, Ohio.

1886

J.C. Cochran receives the patent for the first dishwasher.
1897
The HOBART ELECTRICAL MANUFACUTRING COMPANY was founded in Troy Ohio, by the acquisition of the engine and generator factory of the HOBART family.

1903

HOBART builds the first food processor (a self-contained powered coffee mill).
1910
HOBART discovers the European markets: foundation of the first sales office in England

1921

Foundation of the first HOBART subsidiary in France

1926

Hobart purchases The Crescent Washing Machine Company, and enters the commercial warewashing market: the first warewashing machine carrying a HOBART label

1930

Foundation of the HOBART MASCHINEN GESELLSCHAFT in Hamburg, Germany.

1934

The company acquires the Dayton Scale Division of International Business Machines (IBM): the first computing scale.
1953
HOBART receives the patent for the first flight-type diswasher.
1960Acquisition of the dishwashing-department of the company K. Marin, Offenburg, Germany.
1980Production plant in Elgersweier, Germany, was newly build
1981HOBART was integrated into DART & KRAFT
1986PREMARK INTERNATIONAL GROUP emerged in Deerfield, Illinois.
1995Acquisition of UNGERMANN in Wuppertal, Germany
1996Division of PREMARK – TUPPERWARE
1996Foundation of company group HOBART – FOSTER – UNTERMANN
1997Acquisition of EUROTEC
1998HOBART CORPORATION’S 100th anniversary.
1999Integration of PREMARK into ITW
