We obtain our drinking water from the municipal water supply. The waste water has the same composition as that of household waste water. The majority of water consumption results from the use of our sanitary facilities.
We do not require process water for our production. The water consumption in the production results mainly from tests being carried out on the dishwashers. For reasons of product quality, we are unable to discontinue these tests.
The increase of the water consumption resulted from extensive endurance tests which were carried out in relation to the development of new dishwashers and the improvement design of our heat pump technology.
The main target of those developments is the reduction of water, energy and chemicals which are used for the operation of the manufactured products.
The delivery of purchased components in reusable containers respectively the use of batch packages instead of single parts packing caused the reduction of paper and paper board waste by 33%.
The materials from old machines which are taken back after the end of life cycle are separated for recycling. The outcome of this is the amount of:
- Scrap iron
- Non ferrous metals
- Cables
A significant reduction of these waste materials is hardly to achieve.
