As an artist from the Urban Art movement it was an obvious move to choose a classic graffi ti motif for the new HOBart-Edition 2013 and to interpret the theme in a modern, abstract
style.
On the one hand, the motif depicts the classic elements of a constantly growing street and subculture while also developing completely independent identifying features.
Abstract, hard edges, technical forms and fl owing colour transitions interact with each other and stand as a metaphor for the machine and the energy fl ow. Fading, incomplete lines
and elements symbolise the perpetual progress of innovative ideas and visions.
In some places the artwork bursts out of the frame, acting as a symbol for the way ideas can be evolved and developed beyond the norm.
