BEST OF INDUSTRY AWARD 2016 goes to HOBART

In perfect time for the "Hannover Messe", the leading global trade show for the industry, the winners of the INDUSTRY AWARD 2016 were announced. HOBART is among the top 50. In the Production Engineering category, the company received the prize for its innovative utensil washer PREMAX UP with lateral wash system.

"Mit Fortschritt zum Erfolg" - Progress for success: This is the motto of the INDUSTRY AWARD which is awarded annually. HOBART, the market leader in commercial warewashing, has been pursuing a similar philosophy for years. This year, the company headquartered in Offenburg received the globally recognized BEST OF INDUSTRY AWARD for the second time after 2014. The 2016 prize was awarded for the innovative utensil washer PREMAX UP with lateral wash system.

What convinced the jury made up of professors, scientists, journalists and experts for the industry was the advanced technology. To meet this criterion as defined in the statutes of the founder, "Huber Verlag für Neue Medien", the submitted solutions must possess novelty value, product depth, future orientation, and economic, social, ecological, and technical benefits.

Here, the PREMAX UP by HOBART excels with many positive characteristics: For example the lateral wash system with triple the wash ware capacity of comparable models. It can accommodate six 1/1 GN trays and four EN-boxes. Or the detergent direct spraying system which aims the cleaning agent directly at heavily soiled wash ware in the wash chamber, thus reducing the need for manual pre-cleaning to a minimum – as well as lowering the labour costs.

Steam washing with injections of hot water vapour as well as the POWER wash with higher wash pressure remove even the most stubborn dirt during the wash cycle.

The HOBART solution also convinces in terms of economy and ecology. The active heat recovery plays an important role. It saves up to 4.5 kW in exhaust air, and up to 7.4 kW in waste water. With its integrated pre-wash function, the patented GENIUS-X² fine filter system furthermore reduces the detergent consumption by up to 35 %.

Last but not least, the SENSO-ACTIVE resource management permanently monitors the level of soil in the tank, adjusting the water consumption to the degree of soiling.
Since 2006, the "Huber Verlag für Neue Medien" has distinguished advanced industrial products with the INDUSTRY AWARD every year at the time of the Hannover Messe. The independent jury of high-ranking experts of the industry ensure maximum objectivity of the awards.
