VISION

“You must still have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.”. (Friedrich Nietzsche)

'Dancing stars' are creative ideas and inventions for the photographic artist Gerd Weismann. This concept is not merely restricted to creative work; it can be applied to many other areas. After all, wherever people create something, inspiration and motivation (chaos) are fundamental to form visions and put great plans into action.

With its innovations in warewashing technology, HOBART has made "giving birth to dancing stars" one of its goals - despite the fact that the vision of "washing without water" is spoken of rather humbly within the company. With every new development, the innovation leader moves closer to this goal and will eventually achieve it.

Conserving the environment and resources has encouraged HOBART's developers to invent increasingly sustainable and efficient technology from the get-go: Technology that further reduces water and power consumption of machines while allowing customers to wash even more sustainably.

Current developments include dishwashing and drying solutions for all types of reusable containers. Reusing may be replacing disposal, but hygiene is still a must-have when it comes to plastic, steel or glass reusables.

Art: Weismann’s photographic work is inspired by the concept of "washing without water" and depicts upside-down bottles being flooded and cleaned with light and energy from bottom to top.

Technique: Motion photography with simultaneous offset multi-exposure.
