HOBART innovations contribute to resource efficiency and environmental conservation. The Offenburg-based company was therefore nominated for the German Innovation Award for Climate and Environment 2022.
Offenburg, Germany – HOBART is the world market leader in commercial warewashing. The company is delighted to have reached the final round for the IKU 2022 prize, as one of the 21 best entrants, thanks to its CLIMATE-PLUS energy saving system. This technological innovation was already nominated for the Baden-Wuerttemberg Waste Technology Prize 2021 and received awards from industry associations and trade magazines. This latest nomination for the prize awarded by the federal ministry again emphasises the relevance of this innovative energy-saving system for commercial warewashing.
Made in Germany With CLIMATE-PLUS, HOBART has developed an energy saving system for flight-type dishwashers that feeds a total of up to 70 percent of energy from waste water and up to 100 percent of energy from exhaust air back into the wash cycle. This valuable energy that is lost in conventional systems can be reused thanks to a combination of drain heat recovery and modern heat pump technology.
